Sankat Mochan Temple is one of the holy temples of the Hindu dedicated to the god Hanuman. This temple is also known as Monkey temple due to the presence of a lot of monkeys inside the temple. It is located in the Holy city of Varanasi, Uttar Pradesh, India and situated at the bank of the Assi River. Sankat Mochan temple was founded by Tulsidas who was the author of the Ramacharitrmanas. The Ramcahritmanas is the Hindi edition of the Hindu’s epic Ramayana which was written by the Maharishi Valmiki in late 1500 AD.

The meaning of Sankat Mochan is release from the problems or says Sankat means problem and mochan means relief. According to the holy chapters, Hanuman Ji save human beings from the anger of the Lord Shani and people can also improve their horoscopic problem once visiting to this temple.It is considering as the most appealist ways for impressing Shani Dev. While some astrologers also believe that worship of Hanuman reduces the ill-effects of Mangal.
