Brahma dev said that the person who reads Durga Saptashati will find happiness. According to Bhagavat puran, the birth of Jagadamba has been done to protect the best man. According to shree Devi Bhagavat, the birth of mother Jagadamba has been done for the protection of the Vedas and mythos and for the welfare of the wicked.
Similarly, according to Rig-Veda, Durga is the only power, all the world is governed by them and there is no other indigenous than them.
